COVID Safety

  • If you share a home with anyone who is displaying COVID symptoms or they are feeling unwell, please do not attend the salon and contact us to rearrange your appointment.
  • Attendance at Charlies Salon is by prearranged appointment only.
  • Hand gel will be provided on entry to the Salon and all workstation areas are cleaned and sanitised between clients.
  • Clients do not have to wear a mask. However, we respectfully ask you do so to protect our staff and vulnerable clients.
  • Every client is required to complete a contact form with their full name, home address and contact number when attending the salon.
  • We are unable to provide magazines at this time due to potential cross contamination, so please bring with you any entertainment you may require.
  • All new colour clients need a skin test 48 hrs prior to appointment.
  • Children’s dry cuts are not possible at present as all hair needs to be washed on the premises by a member of staff.
  • Clients must come alone, where’s possible, to help maintain social distancing.
  • Vulnerable clients are required to identify themselves prior to attending the salon so that we are able to ensure they have a separate space/room to sit in.
  • Where possible, please don’t bring a coat. If you require a jacket or coat you must bring a bag to put it in to and it must be carried with you in the bag at all times.
  • We regret that refreshments cannot be provided at present. You are able to bring your own refreshments in to the salon, however it must be carried with you at all times and taken when you leave the salon.
  • Staff will wear gloves, visors and masks during appointments.
  • Deposits are required for chemical appointments due to the necessity of time being allocated for safety reasons. A 24 hour cancellation policy is applicable in this instance.
  • Toilet facilities are still available to clients on a restricted basis and are cleaned and sanitised at regular intervals.
  • Consultations are required prior to appointment to gauge the time allocation required. We prefer this to be done via text messaging or WhatsApp messaging. Sending pictures may be required to facilitate this process.
  • At this time, we are not able to complete drastic colour changes due to timing regulations. This will be reviewed periodically.
Our pricing structure has had to be amended slightly due to COVID19, taking in to account the extra time required per client, sanitisation of workstations as well as the additional costs associated with the required PPE. This is something that will also be reviewed periodically.
